It was so empowering, mostly as you’re walking out and say “I just did that shit!” It might be scary, you’re probably going to feel naked, but at the end of it you will have a set of images that will remind you to live everyday like the woman in them, happy and confident. I knew I wanted some coverage in at least 1 outfit and I could go scandalous in the others. This is your time to shine!Ī week before the shoot I hopped online to figure out what I wanted to wear. Don’t get caught up in the logistics or how you think you will look in the images. Your photographer should make you feel like the sexiest woman on the planet. The shoot will be fast paced and light-hearted. You have every right to tell them not to. It’s an important conversation for you to know if/how they will be distributing them. Talk with your photographer on where they will be using the images. Don’t shop based on how they look on the model. Lingerie looks different on everyone and it’s important you go into your session feeling confident. Shop for lingerie pieces based on what you will feel comfortable in. Each session is so so different, every body is so so different, let your session flow as it needs, your photographer will guide you. Don’t look at images on a level of expectation or as a how-to. Look at past boudoir images from photographers only as a means of picking a photographer. You think you could be comfortable with them naked.
